Science is fascinating. It’s all around us! We have learned about the science of flight through STEM programs and indoor skydiving. We have learned about chemistry while candy making and bee keeping. We have visited aquaculture centers and biology labs. We have done archeology and studied architecture. We have explored space at the planetarium, examined real fossils, and explored the ecology of the marshes. Coastal Georgia is full of opportunities for science. With new discoveries and emerging technologies, we will always have something new to learn!
History is such an important part of who we are and how we got here. Field Trip Frenzy excursions have included: Local Museums, Georgia State Hospital, Tours of historic homes, Lighthouses, Naval Ships, Native American Pow Wows, Trolley Tours, Ghost Tours, Old schoolhouses, Churches, Cemeteries, Submarines, Military Forts , Train Stations, Islands, and so much more. We have learned about local history, world history, important historical events like the Civil Rights Movement, Prohibition, etc. We have learned about important historical figures like, John Oglethorpe, Blackbeard, Juliette Gordon Lowe, Martin Luther King Jr., and General Sherman. Georgia is famous for its rich history, its myths, and its legends. We will never stop running out of new things to learn!
Learning about your everyday public works systems is a great way to foster interest and involvement in your local community. Past field trips have included recycling centers, water treatment plants, police & fire stations, mosquito control, airports, the electric company, the news stations, grocery stores, libraries, and even the Department of Natural Resources.

Any of these classes are a great choice for earning scouting badges but they are also great for anyone who is interested in general knowledge in these areas.
We sure love animals here at Field Trip Frenzy! We have visited animals in so many different capacities. We have gone to the zoo, aquarium, farms, safari tours, animal rescues, wildlife habitats, birds of prey shows, dolphin tours, and equine centers. We have hunted shark teeth, dug for bone fossils, milked goats, visited reptile exhibits, saw the sea turtle hospital, rode on a shrimp boat, dissected squid and owl pellets. We have even visited a tick museum, a beekeeper, and a butterfly conservatory!
